Water

As a major provider of environmental engineering services to the water industry, we’re involved in projects at every stage of the water cycle.

Our work covers resource catchment infrastructure, specialist engineering for dams and reservoirs, project management of pipelines and supply networks in both urban and rural areas, as well as the design of treatment plants and wastewater disposal.

Whether we’re developing new structures from scratch or renovating existing assets, all our engineers are supported by the latest design and analytical systems to make sure every project is designed and delivered successfully.

Thames Water’s new wastewater treatment plant in Reading serves over 300,000 people in a region west of London. Featuring four high-performance, egg-shaped anaerobic digesters, the plant is one of the most technically advanced facilities of its kind in the UK.

AECOM provided civil, structural and building design for project, which has subsequently won a number of prestigious industry awards.
