Transportation

Our work as infrastructure specialists covers every mode of transportation, from pedestrian routes and bike paths to national and international road, rail, air and sea routes.

We plan, design and engineer new transportation projects as well as replace aging highways, bridges and tunnels. We also provide expert guidance to governments as they look for more sustainable alternatives to existing infrastructure.

We are constantly looking for better, greener ways to move people across cities, countries and continents.

Sutong Bridge
Jiangsu Province, China

With a span of over 1,088 meters, the Sutong Bridge across China’s Yangtze River is the world’s longest cable-stayed bridge.

The completion of the bridge makes the commute between Shanghai and Nantong an hour shorter and brings Nantong one step closer to becoming an important part of the Yangtze River Delta economic zone. The bridge will also be pivotal in the development of northern Jiangsu regions.

AECOM provided comprehensive construction engineering services for the project.
